Really great about this week is that I found in the library( by the accident) lot of interesting books and albums. From some of them I just photocopied interesting pages, photos etc. I found really interesting book to have further view on the theme. It is book about imagination, thinking and perception. It is really broad. I found there informations about artists connected with concrete themes for example hallucinations or day-dream as well as philosophers, psychologist opinions to make the statement more reliable. I want to do general research just to find the starting point of my further research. I borrowed a knitting machine to make some samples. I also went on the exhibition to saachi gallery. I loved the work of Josh Faught. He inspired me to make knitted samples. I tried just to experiment different styles. It was an installation, he’s work is mainly the tapestry. I was continuing making samples, but I stopped because of the technical issues with the machine, I also ordered weaving machine to experiment a little bit with weaving. I want to make more samples using different media. I have done also samples using 3D pen, at the beginning it was quite hard, It didn’t look good, but during experimentation it was better. I am a little bit confused about with my research. It is definitely to vague, not specific and hard to classify. I started looking at to many things in one moment. I think I need weekend to think about it one more time and make it more clear.
Question: Can I have in my research sketchbook many things that I am trying, my experimental journey, or I need to prepare my research first, and then decide what to put into sketchbook more specific?
I will write my blog on every Monday, because it is easier to write after weekend while I am clearing my mind a little bit.
Blog will contain:
- learner planner
- expectations vs. reality (how It went)
- answers for my questions
- photos of what I have done (sketchbook, notes)
- goals for next week
